Consolidation significantly reduces the cost of moving smaller volumes of goods by moving various goods together, combining small cargo lots of different consignees into one lot and preparing them for ‘consolidated shipping’. This service is available for ocean, air and road freight movement from GULF FIRST.
We follow individual customer requirements from the shipping instructions given and handle the freight movement from cargo warehousing, to securing and loading in containers.
Consolidating in our warehouses saves money, as you can ship full loads rather than the more expensive LCL. An LCL shipping groupage or consolidation enables the customer to ship their cargo without having to fill a container. Secondly, valuable manufacturing and warehouse space is saved as goods can be stored for months before being called for and delivered.
